Even though the summer is almost over and September is getting close, there is still plenty of television programming. Hulu is the place to go if you want to watch a wide variety of movies, new and old TV episodes, and trending material that you won’t find on any other streaming service. Hulu members will find something for everyone in the family, including interesting new original series like The Other Black Girl, shows like American Horror Story, Kitchen Nightmares, and Krapopolis, as well as films like Sanctuary, Mad Max: Fury Road, and True Lies.
When new television series and films start to become spookier, fall is just around the corner. (The most recent Haunted Mansion film from Disney, which for some reason debuted in July, is an anomaly and shouldn’t be included.) With the debut of the new series The Other Black Girl, which follows an editing assistant whose terrifyingly white publishing house, Hulu’s September lineup is leaning into that spooky pre-Halloween mood. In the movie No One Will Save You about a home invasion later this month, Kaitlyn Dever battles aliens. Late in September, a new season of American Horror Story on FX debuts, with the theme of pregnant horror.
If you prefer a different type of fright, you could watch the Oscar-winning film The Banshees of Inisherin, which premieres on Hulu early this month, or watch American celebrities purchase a Welsh soccer team in Season 2 of Welcome to Wrexham. Additionally, you may watch every Once Upon a Time episode again. Although there aren’t many broadcast television programs this month because of the studios’ persistent reluctance to pay striking writers and actors a portion of the money they make, some Fox series, like Dan Harmon’s brand-new animated comedy Krapopolis, are also getting new episodes this month.
