A Material Handler, or Warehouse Associate, handles, moves and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse.

The primary function of this position is: picking, packing, shipping and receiving product/materials for their internal and external customers, as well as maintain warehouse cleanliness.

The primary goal of this position is to: drive customer satisfaction by ensuring all tasks is handled in a safe, accurate, efficient and courteous manner, within allocated timelines and to performance metric expectations.

Qualifications needed:

    1. Safety Footwear required.
    2. Perform overtime as needed.
    3. Grade: 12.
    4. Bondable.
    5. Speaks English.
    6. Monday to Friday, 10:30–6:00, with half-hour lunch.
    7. Ability to fulfill all physical aspects of job-related tasks (heavy lifting – 50+ lbs, long periods standing/walking/ladder climbing, etc.).

Responsibilities: Duties & Tasks



  • Confirm order accuracy and initial packing slip.
  • Pick items on sales order and deliver to packing area.
  • Assist in lifting/moving heavy or oversized items.
  • Replenish bin stock and remove related trash (during picking process).


  • Securely pack items into containers, seal and apply appropriate labeling.
  • Process/electronically scan orders.
  • Weigh cartons as required and deliver to appropriate shipping/route areas.
  • Recall, edit and cancel sales orders as warranted.
  • Replenish packing supplies/materials.



  • Provide relief/support to all areas/departments as assigned.
  • Train new employees as required.
  • Complete on-going personal self-development/training as required.
  • Maintain work area(s) (safe/clean/well-organized).
  • Provide overtime support as appropriate.
  • Miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned bins.
  • Operate forklifts and other electric/power equipment.
  • Adhere to all policies/procedures as outlined in the Quality System Manual and Employee Handbook.
  • Complete all applicable Quality Records and associated duties.
  • Complete applicable safety training as required, and maintain a current understanding/compliance of organizational OHS policies and guidelines.
